Bring the family and come dressed in your favorite Hawain shirt for a “Luau” themed summer picnic. The Sprecher East Neighborhood Association’s Annual Summer Picnic will kick off at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 12, at Reston Heights Park at the corner of Wyalusing Drive and Summertown Drive. Join us for dinner, door prizes and games! Dinner will be served from 4pm-5pm. SENA will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, buns, soda, water, condiments and paper/plastic dinnerware. Neighbors attending the picnic are asked to please bring a dish to pass. Following dinner, we will be giving out door prizes generously donated by local businesses. SENA would like to thank Kathy Hosokawa for her efforts in collecting all these great prizes. At the picnic, kids will have the opportunity to play “Luau” themed games and activities. To help make this a successful event, it would be appreciate if neighbors could lend picnic awnings, tables and kid’s games. Also, there are a limited number of picnic tables at the park so please bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets. This event is free to SENA member with a non-member fee of $6 per adult and $3 per child and a max of $15 per family. Come enjoy music by Ken Lonnquist (12-1pm), see the Weinermobile (12:30-1:30), visit the Mallard’s ducks, Millie and Maynard (1-2pm).
